These questions seem more like for a helpdesk freak not sys admin. Sys
Admins typically do not 'mostly' deal with windows XP unless they are
preparing for a desktop rollout.

Only a couple of your questions relate to Sys admin. Also, you mentioned
that these Q's are for a Tech Manager. Tech managers do not 'have' to know
the 'details' of how to be a tech support or even a sys admin. As long as
they are familiar with the technologies and basic concepts, they are hired.

On a side note you will be pleased to know that the boss (me) is never
around (and never will be), customer complaints are non-existant (no
customers = no customer complaints), very light workload (you do whatever
you want), and you can take as much time off as you want (heck you
shouldn't even bother showing up for work in my opi-onion [whoops that
was another thread I just slipped into])

on the downside there is no pay and the total sum of corporate benefits
have been listed in the paragraph above. but if you work for me you tax
form will be a breeze (zero pay = zero income taxes)
