We have 3 different site and site X as PDC, site Y as DC and site Z as DC. we bought additional 3 new servers and distuributed it to different sites which will trust to site X or to PDC. I already trusted the new server on site Y to site X, now, user from site Y could access the object name on site X. But on site Z, I couldn't establish trusting on site X. here is the procedure I've done. 1. I copied the trusting porcedure on Z to Y. 2. checked the LMHOST and DNS.so far it propagate. the problem is I already trusted site Z the domain to site x but i couldn't access the object access. Tim, numbers are not important, it's quality that counts. The ability to appreciate humor is the sign of an intelligent mind, remember, it has been said that laughter is what separates Humans from the animals. Personally I think it is the Human's mastery of fire, but that's me. My point is, we don't want or need MCP's that aren't qualified, and if a few jabs at someone that asks a stupid or irrelevant question scares them off rather than forces them to look inward at themselves, then they aren't made of the right stuff anyway. To make it in IT you need know how to help yourself and to survive longterm in IT you need a sense of humor. Basically, our Network Admin (who also performs other functions, like writing custom programs and stuff...I won't be taking that over), who's only here 3 days a week is costing them what it would cost me to do it 5 days a week. So, they're going to send me back to school for MS training. Some of which I already have, some of which I don't. But for the last couple years, I've been shadowing our Network Admin, learning as I go, so I've got SOME experience. And it's not like he's going to disappear, so I'll still be able to lean on him for advice and help when I need it. And the good news is my boss won't be my boss anymore. It's definitely a promotion in every sense of the word.
