Use an eraser?

Shut your eyes tight and wish *real* hard?

Fantasize about what you would do to the author(s) of Swen if you could get
your hands on them?

Sorry, all you can do is get a new e-mail addy, and don't post it un-munged
anywhere.

Or because the spam is rarely sent directly to the name of your account, you
could do what I did when I made the same mistake - I set a message rule in
Outlook so that all of the messages that were sent to me, went to a
different inbox folder that I created. All the spam now goes in the
original inbox, and all of my email goes into my folder.

If you need instructions, let me know.

That sounds backwords. I made the same mistake of putting
my work email on a message here (smack me on the head, I
know) and I started getting swens all day.

I made a rule in Outlook to send any email that;
1. didn't have my name in the TO field AND
2. wasn't from anyone on my contact list ...
...directly to the deleted items folder. It's been
running for weeks now and I've not deleted a single
message that wasn't spam. At some point I'll tell it to
just permanently delete them, but I still feel the need to
scan and make sure I'm not deleting anything I actually
need or want.

P.S. Over thanksgiving 4-day weekend I had 350
messages. ;-0

I'm getting anywhere between 60 and 100 spam messages every day!
I have set up rules to get rid of them - This has proved effective against
some but not others. (I will try some of the techniques listed here later)

I'm getting loads from "Microsoft" containing viruses (some actually look
quite authentic). My virus checker strips the virus out, but it still
p*sses me off!

Munge (Mung, if you prefer) your email addy. An example is shown above. Be
creative, and try not to make it too obvious, like
david@NOSPAM.fsnet.co.uk. Spambots will figure that out. Do something like
the above, and if you want people to contact you, tell them to "remove my
clothes" to contact me. See consultant's email address for a similarly
clever mung-job.

Also the word to describe an unexpected sediment in a food/beverage
container. "What is this mung in the bottom of my beer glass!"
