OMG, the noise to singal ratio for this group is just abysmal.
A person posts a question and gets 7 or so completely useless
responses and 2-3 that are helpful. I suppose this is par for the
course. Really does make a case for requiring a license to use the
intar(d)web. Way too many 'tards.

That's not par for the course. Stick around, you'll see.

It's more like one stupid question, and about 50-75 off-topic replies.

Let us know if you see an actual intelligent question from someone who
attempted to research the answer on their own first.

Of course, you'll answer that question for us, so then we can engage thread
drift.

I'm a new subscriber, and have yet to receive a sarcastic reply. At the
risk of overstepping my boundaries for how long I've been part of this
group, it's probably because I don't see this group as an alternative to
research because I'm too incompetent/lazy/both to find something out for
myself, as I've witnessed from many, but as a part of the research
process in itself.

I see a good portion of the posts on this site being from n00bs looking
for dumps or answers to their questions like it'a a free ride. I can't
stand it when people come onto a forum/group with the expectation of
personal gain from communal knowledge with no intention whatsoever to
help or contribute anything whatsoever. Why bother taking someone
seriously when you know they're only going to post when they NEED
something from YOU? Wouldn't that get a little tedious after a while?
Kinda like the freeloading neighbour/son-in-law that you just can't stand.

This one shows promise.

That's one of the reasons we attempt to provide entertainment, Joe. This
would be a boring place, indeed, if all that was posted here were as you
mentioned.

Some people come here and "get it." Others don't.

You seem to be of the former.
