I have created a Group Policy to force IE settings to use autodetect
everything works fine if the GPO do not containt any folder redirection.
I noticed that when I add Start Menu folder redirection to a network path.
the redirection works, autodetect proxy, in IE is set; but Internet Explorer
seems to don't get any information about the wpad record.

Is there any known issue about autodetect and folder redirection?? Do
Autodetect need to save wpad data to somewhere???

could someone help please.

You'll probably have better luck in a newsgroup that's dedicated to
Windows Server or security. This is mainly for discussion on how to
obtain your MCSE (although we tend to stray from that topic about
99.9999% of the time)

not to my knowledge but you might want to give google or MS Technet a peek.
Start here:

Also that goes against best practice. Those are two completely different
areas of a GPO. I would consider splitting those settings across two GP
Objects anyway..

Wow lowdes. You actually came up with a sentence that actually made
sense. Albeit, you're WRONG. But, the sentence made sense.

Just for you, I'll clarify that the OP is in the wrong newsgroup for
this. Yes, we may know something about WS. Yes, we can probably give
him an answer. But, he'll probably get a more in depth answer in the
right newsgroup.

Sort of like how if you would go to the right newsgroups, you'll get the
right answer too. You could try news://localhost for starters. You can
also find it at http://localhost
