I always have taught my students that a hammer is not a tool that should
be in your tech bag. If it doesn't fit, it's doesn't fit. Now I see I
have to amend that statement to include hacksaws.

Thx Sue!

I use my screwdriver as a hammer.

I'm not yet sure which is sadder...

The fact that this yahoo bought a $120 AGP8X/PCIX card to work in his
Dimension 2350, which has onboard graphics and no AGP slot...

or that he was so stupid he believed that cutting off the contacts to put it
in a standard PCI slot would make it work.

Should I admit to this:

Back in 1993 when I was computer illiterate and underage, I had an 8086.
I came across one of those fancy newfangled COLOR monitors and thought it
would be uber-cool to replace my orange screen with it. Well, the pins in
the adapter didn't exactly fit so I snipped off the extra pins and sure enough
it plugged right in! To my amazement I saw a blank screen instead of the
cornucopia of color I was expecting.

My dad nearly strangled me!
