"Due to the proximity of its orbit to Earth and its estimated size, this
object has been classified as a "Potentially Hazardous Asteroid" (PNA) by

PNAs"

Why do scientists suck at Acronyms?

Thus spake Frisbee=AE :

> Why do scientists suck at Acronyms?

Prolly 'coz they had so many Acronyms for every conceivable thing, that
they had to make a billion dollar software to make new Acronyms by
trying every possible combination of letters. It's that software that
sucks.

They should learn from us Computer geeks !!!

I fail to see the difficulty here. It obviously is "PoteNtially hazardous
Asteroid" and the writer of the article miscapitalized.

more importantly, "Astronomers will attempt to get a more accurate
assessment of the asteroid's size by "pinging" it," now how the heck do you
ping an astroid. That was not in my CCNA dump.

The first test is to figure out how many exams there are. The next is
about punctuation and capitalization IIRC.

Since your post smacks of silliness, you didn't have to change the
subject line, did you ? You should have let it be "Monday Madness" and
asked your highly relevant question.
