I have a small staff that I need to go to support update training,
such as 2208. We are migrating from NT4 to 2003. Can anyone recommend
good CBT training or online training for this? There are no classroom
trainings in this area that still carry this course. If not this
specific topic, then how about good CBT training for MCSA?

Thank you

Matthew,

As you can tell by most of the responses (assuming someone might actually
help you out after this post) Almost all of the subscribers of this
newsgroup have nothing else better to do then to make fun of your situation.
Don't depend on this as your only source for knowledge because the
conversation will turn into how someone owes someone else a keyboard with an
ever predictable "lol..."

MCSE Papers,

If you can't help then don't bother posting.

Real MCSE,

Let's help the guy out. (than again it might take to long to get off your
horses)

His question was answered, dolt. By Andy from Microsoft. As far as I can
see, the only contribution you made that was accurate was; "Don't depend
on this as your only source for knowledge".

Okay Mr. "Real MCSE" let's hear your sage words of wisdom for the OP. Or
can't you help? Then why did _you_ bother posting. With a blatently
inacccurate statement at that?

And by the way. To the OP: There are indeed CBT's out there for you.
I've never used them, however, which is why I can't say much about their
pros & cons. If you are intending to migrate from NT4 to 2003, however,
you really need to set up a test lab to thoroughly check everything in
your system before you go live.

That'll be $.02, please.

I never said I had the answer for him, I was just adressing the fact that
the very first response he gets boils down to "sucks to be you". I guess
you didn't catch the fact that I didn't bash the guy for asking a question.
How is my statement blatently inacurrate? You know just as well as everyone
else that no one has ever gotten a helpful response without first receiving
criticism. If you say I am wrong about this, then you are a liar.
My congratulations to Andy from Microsoft! I covered this by adding the
(assuming someone...) and by not refering to the entire newsgroup, but as
"most" and "almost all" refering to those that would rather put someone down
then to share their knowledge. One of the reasons for my post was to light
a fire under all of us because I know how prideful a lot of you are, and
would prove that you could answer Matthew. JaR, you did that. Good job.

peg your bardon? no I don't think so. If, IF a person has a valid
question and they have tried to find the answer themselves (yes you can
sometimes tell) then I am happy to help if I can. but when someone
strolls in and asks "how do I become an MCSE?" than they need a good
smack upside the head. a flip answer will not help someone in the long
run. "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. teach a man to fish
and you feed him for life." I refuse to feel remorse for practicing the
_um_ gentle art of persuasion :)

Even though I'm not a "MCSE Paper(s)" or a "Real MCSE" because I'm not yet
an MCSE, let me respond. I don't know the answer to the OP's question
because I've never used "CBT's". So now, why don't you come down off your

You must have gotten the same education as eddie... you both seem to have
trouble with the same words. Either that, or English is not your first
language. Or your second. Or your third.

Only other MCNGP'ers are capable of getting under my skin. It takes great
skills to accomplish that. You, on the other hand, are providing some
entertainment.
