Yes! Finally! This is what I love about the IT community! :) People that
love to have fun. People that enjoy the field. The people that enjoy a good
bacon dispenser! :)
And depending on what your interests are, there are MANY different types of
sites.
Hardware:
http://www.hardocp.com (lots of fun and humor, don't forget your fun hat)
http://www.anandtech.com (not a favorite of mine, but it works)
http://www.neowin.net
http://www.betanews.com
http://www.nintendo.com
http://www.nickjr.com
And I recommend a good RSS news reader for when you use the links on these
sites and find a good one that updates frequently. Great source of
information, quick, easy, and very fun.
The number one thing in this field is to keep it fun. Don't take everything
so seriously. Professional is ok, but you have to lighten up sometimes. If
you're serious all the time, you'll find the job gets stagnant very fast.
You have to love what you are doing, and have fun doing it.
I get excited when a new technology comes out. I'm like a little kid in a
toy store. I love it.
And I know those sites aren't all really IT related sites. But, the news
comes from all over, and it will give you a good start. Hit those, and go
from there. At least you start with the fun stuff.
