    - Exchange log file Hello there, Do any of you guys know if it's possible to create a log file on MS Exchange 2000 that registers only the e-mails that are forwarded to another Exchange account? I have a user set so that when he receives any e-mail, a copy of that e-mail is sent to another account. I needed to log these events only.     - Lay of the Land (Certification) I long time generalist with a decided "Application Development" focus, I may be required to get my MCSE Certification. My preference and majority of work experience would have been pointing me more in the MCSD path, but the job requires the MCSE credential. Its not that I would be required to deliver "expert level" support but I would need to understand the major area's of infrastructure, their interactions, interdependencies, etc. Any advise on the best way to familiarize myself with the MCSE certification task .. any sage advise?     - sorry for reposting OK Im Going to ask you goons once more to see if you mcngp's real know what your talking about HI all, am starting mcse, have had a lot experience on 2000/xp but never used server '03 before, well a server at all, have got my hands on an evaluation. Copy of '03. When I go to install it goes on fine but when i try to install active directory as the fist domain controller with dhcp and dns the dhcp goes on then when it gets to active directory i get a message stating that the ip/tcp is not configured and needs to be for me to be able to continue. I've tried to configure it with no joy as far as I can see it's the dhcp's ip address that cursing the problem. As far as I can tell it needs to be set to: 192.168.0.10 but I can't seem to find a way to do so. Failed It last week, I scored 550, I got the "Ski-resort" case and during the exam I was wondered why there were no localized exams in my own native language. Especially on this exam a Dutch text would be nice. Now I first have to translate the shit and then they expect me to give the right answer on this English text that gives me headackes remembering. In real live I won't make any ICT decisions and do discussions about It in English. Off course I would use the English terms. By the way I allready passed 5 other m$ exams in one go, including 216.     - Upgrading an upgraded MCSE 2003 to :Security I have upgraded my NT4 MCSE to Win2k MCSE to Win2003 MCSE. Now I want to get the Security specialization on top of that. The requirements page at http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcse/security/windowsserver2003.asp says (in the footnotes) that 70-290 and 70-291 are already included for me since I took 70-292 and 70-296 (the upgrade exams). The only problem is that 70-293 and 70-294 don't have any footnotes telling me I don't have to take them. How do I interpret this? I am wanting to get the effective rights for a user in part of my directory tree. I know with Cacls I can list everyone's rights but I want to limit it to a user. The kicker is that the user has no explicit rights as he is a member of several groups which grant him rights. Is there a command line tool which I can use to display or print this to file?     - Exam 70-292 - KNOWN ISSUE (UK) + 70-296 + 70-29n All, I have just taken 70-292 in the UK, and I lost about one minute between each question! While the next question loaded. The timer also kept on running. By the end of the test I most have lost between 30 and 45 minutes! When I spoke with the test centre administrator he informed me that this problem has been going on for a while. The engine crashed on me, and the survey part didn't load, and wouldn't come back! I have been speaking with the exam group (Thomson Prometric) and have finally found that they have known about this problem for, at least, several weeks BUT DON'T advise you when you book the exam that the product is defective. They also claim Microsoft is aware of this situation, but don't seem overly concerned about fixing it. It is nice to know that Microsoft cares so much about it's MCSAs & MCSEs and encouraging them to upgrade their certification with a defective set of exams. The exam group told me that this problem also affects all 70-29x exams, apart from 297 & 298. If you are planning on taking any of these exams, then I would strongly recommend speaking to the exam group to book it, and ask about the problems, as you may be able to get extra time added (I have managed this for my retest). Hi all, I'm about to set off on the long hard road to Microsoft certification and was wondering if anyone could tell me if you think it's worth enrolling on an MCSE training course with one of these training providers as they seem to charge an absolute fortune or if it's just as easy to pass by buying books and teaching yourself at home, I've just bought the Sybex book for 2000 Professional exam. Also, I was wondering if those of you who are qualified can tell me if the career rewards for being MCSE certified really are as good as these training providers make out as most of them use the line "You can go to an interview and name your price", is this true or part of the sales pitch?     - Ambilogic: Sound Like Fraud To Me I'm late to this discussion, but I may have something useful to add. I have been considering HMCSE/MCSA boot camps and did research on several net-listed schools. One was Ambilogic. I have Ambilogic's policy as listed on their website on January 17-04. Their cancellation/refund policy was exactly as OP-Mark stated....30-day notification of the need to cancel would result in a FULL refund. Now I see that the company requires 60 days notification. I wonder when they changed their policy? My guess is not long after OP notified them of his need to cancel. Aren't things hard enough these days in the realm of job hunting and trying to better one's chances at keeping or finding a job without people having to worry about sleight-of-hand companies changing policies to make a buck? OP: If you'd like like a copy of Ambilogic's policies as listed on their website in January, please let me know. I'd be happy to send it to you. In the meantime, I suggest you get a hold of the New Hampshire's Attorney General, call the Better Business Bureau, and if it comes it....get yourself a lawyer. Oh, and I'd contact Microsoft and see what they have to say about this kind "customer service". I know how ticked I'd be if I were being bilked of $5000 of my hard-earned money. Problem is there are a lot of companies like Ambilogic out there who think they can get away with such shifty moves.     - Which is easier, 220 or 221? Hi guys, I just killed 219 after getting creamed by it the first time, so now I have to pick which exam to tackle next. I've decided to study up on 218 so I can get my MCSA while I have the chance, that leaves me with the option to take 220 or 221 for my final elective exam. I was wondering which exam was easier, as 219 was an ugly reality check on Microsoft's sadistic case studies. I'm not really planning on getting the MCSE: Security classification right now so I'm leaning towards 221, but I also remember how tough 216 was so I'm not sure anymore since 221 is the design extention of that exam. Get a copy of the Windows Server 2003 deployment kit also from MS
Press and research topics from the exam topics list after you've
studied up

also look up mcpmag.com for pointers on a per exam basis
