I am building a home network for training/testing and need
some ideas on network configuration. I have five
computers (four workstations and one laptop), a router
w/builtin print server, and one cable connection. Two
workstations are dual homed. I have full working (legal)
versions of W2K Advanced Server and W2K3 Server. I plan
on setting up two seperate domains in the same forest each
running a different version of windows.

I'm looking for ideas on how to distribute the computers
between the domains. DCs, DHCP servers, DNS servers,
RRAS, clients, etc. Thanks.

What exactly are the goals you wish to accomplish with this home network?
You have have various configuration depending on exactly what you want to
practice on. Also what kind of router do you have? You might be able to use
one of the Win2K or Win2K3 boxed for routing and learn about Windows Routing
as well.

1st thing you should do it learn how to not post the same message twice in
the same newsgroup.

You know it alls really amaze me sometimes! I only posted
once. However, I posted via MS' web based reader.
Ultimately I have no control over what ever errors happen
on their end. Thanks for the useful reply though. It
contained a tremendous amount of useful information.
