Hey John,
As a disclaimer: I'm a fairly biased vote here. ;-)
Gatlin Education is partnered with Academy of Learning (a Canadian
company), who provides them will all of their IT training materials and
support. And I'm one of the main instructors for Academy of Learning...
so as I say, I'm less than neutral on this matter. ;-)
That said, before I started working here I did review all of the
courseware and textbooks for all of the MCSE courses, to familiarize
myself with how it's all laid out and everything. For the most part, I
found the textbooks to be fairly straightforward and easy to read. The
online audio lectures are pretty easy to follow along as well, I would
often just have them playing in the background while I was flipping
through the textbook and in general it's fairly easy listening (a couple
courses are narrated in a different speaking style that some people have
trouble with, but those are mostly the A+ materials).
Although I don't directly support the Gatlin students myself (I mostly
take care of Canadian students), I know the woman who does and she's a
very competent instructor (she has a B.Ed and was a classroom teacher
for years before starting here). She's knowledgeable about the material
and happy to help anyway she can.
If you want anymore details or have specific questions about it, please
email me directly and I'll be happy to help you anyway I can.
