Expired Exam 70-292 and 296

This exams expire at the end of March. Are they being replaced by 2008
upgrade exams?

Do anyone know the answer.

These exams are related to upgrading from MCSE 2000 to MCSE 2003. They will
not be replaced. There is no direct upgrade path from 2000 to 2008. In
fact, there is no MCSE 2008. There is an upgrade path from MCSE 2003 (and
MCSA 2003) to MCITP Enterprise Administrator (and MCITP System
Administrator).

You can still upgrade to MCSE 2003 from MCSE 2000 by taking exams 70-290 and
70-291 instead of 70-292, and also 70-293 and 70-294 instead of 70-296.

I think 70-292 should be retired. This is a very difficult exam. I failed
it twice and gave up. Then I took 70-290 and 70-291 separately and passed
them both on on the first try. The 290 and 291 exams aren't expiring, so
don't sweat it. Take your time passing 290 and 291 and it's the same thing
anyways.

Hi,

I have cleared 70-292 but I dont think I will be able to study and clear
70-296 till March end.

Can I appear for 70-293 and 70-294 instead of 70-296 post March 2008 and get
MCSE 2k3 certified?

The date have been changed to May 24. I spoke to some from MCP and they
indicate that. I even received a confirmation email. You can email
MCPHelp@microsoft.com the question to verify.

Microsoft has extended the expiring date to May 24th 2008, you can verify
that by call MCP @ 1800-363-7544
