    - OT: kpg reporting in from the warzone Wll, out here where I live in La Place, about 30 miles west of NOLA we just got power back yesterday water is on then off then on. Now it is off. Living here in 90+ heat without A/C is painful, but now that the power is back on we are almost whole. The oak tree in front of my house blew over onto my car, but as a whole my family and neighbohood came out well. New Orleans is a disaster, I'm sure you all have seen the pictures. Unbelivable. I'm at my house now, I can't get in to where I work because the police have closed the roads to everyone except thoses that live in that parish. I have not spoken to any of my co-workers o even know is my place of work is intact. At the very least it is without power, possibly flodded. Why is it that gas stations raise their prices the day something affects the price but it takes months for them to lower it after the price of crude oil drops? I know that Europe has been paying high petrol prices for years and we've been lucky until now but now that we've annexed Iraq the prices should be going down.     - Passed 70-216 Hello to all, Just passed 70-216 earlier today. Still harder than the other exams I took (70-210, 70-215, 70-217, 70-218 and 70-227), but it felt much easier since I took it (and failed it) back in 2003. Now I have to face the design exam. I'm considering 70-219 (Designing a Microsoft Windows 2000 Directory Services Infrastructure), but I wanted some input on the study material. Since I didnÂ´t take MS 1561 I might buy the training kit (MCSE Training Kit: Designing a Microsoft Windows 2000 Directory Services Infrastructure - ISBN 0735611327), but I read some poor reviews about it. Another idea would be to take 70-297 (Designing a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory and Network Infrastructure) or 70-298 (Designing Security for a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network ) instead of 70-219 (still for MCSE 2000). I have two exams left for my MCSE:Security 70.216 and Security+ I am just looking for input, should I take the confidence builder, Security+ or go ahead and tackle what I think will be the hardest of the seven, 70-216. Also, something occured to me. This shit is hard. No really, the stuff that you have to learn and applu to get your MCSE is no joke. But then, I read about these guys talking about "I got my MCSE in a month", and I am like, "Dude, that is impossible, unless you braindumped, or cheated, but there is no way in hell, you are going to tell me that you studied and learned the material for all seven exams, in a fucking month.     - OT: Thursday Thilly Shamelessly stolen from Securecomp: The phone rang as I was setting down to my anticipated evening meal, and as I answered it I was greeted with "Is this Wilhiam Wagenhoss?" not sounding anything like my name, so I said who is calling? The telemarketer said he was with The Rubberband Powered Freezer company or something like that and then I asked him if he knew Wilhiam personally and why was he calling this number. I then said off to the side, "Get really good pictures of the body and all the blood" then turned back to the phone and advised the caller that he had entered a murder scene and must stay on the line because we had already traced this call and he would be receiving a summons to appear in the local courthouse to testify in this murder case. I then questioned the caller at great length as to his name, address, phone number at home, at work, who he worked for, how he knew the dead guy and could he prove where he had been about one hour before he made this call. The telemarketer was getting very concerned and his answers were given in a shakey voice. I then told him we had located his position at his work place and the police were entering the building to take him into custody, at that point I heard the phone fall and the scurrying of his running away.     - Ideas 70-294 Simulations going to be release? Greeting all Certs! Does anyone know when MS cert. dept. is going to release 70-294 Simulation examination for Vue or Prometric? I did some research and a lot of posting saying by the end of August or early September due to its cancellation in June 2005. I contacted Vue and Prometric test admin. and they don't even know the exact date. (huh??) Does anyone from Microsoft or someone that monitoring this post know exactly the date or week that its going live? That way I can take more time doing test lab simulation / more reading and not feeling the pressure for the "Simulation" modules. I did 290, and 291 with Simulations and it f**** hard! (both exams I had avg. 10 min left) I cant imagine what the simulations would be for 294 if you need to perform anything with Certificates, more GPO's or Site link to site linking etc...
