    - Win2k Domain with WinNT BDC help! I have a Win2k Advance Server (with SP4) just been promoted to a domain controller (still in mixed mode). I have just installed a WinNT 4.0 Server BDC (with SP1). When trying to join the BDC to the win2k domain, I key in the following Computer Name = BDC Domain = jeff Administrator Name = administrator Password = administrator password I get "The machine account for this computer does not exist or is inaccessible" error message. I tried to create a computer account called "BDC" under domain controller or under computers with "Allow pre windows 2000 to use this account". Instead I get this message "This computer is already configured as a workstation or server on the domain. Please contact your domain administrator". I cannot figure out what seems to be the problem. You have to get a job to get a clearance but to get a clearance you have to have a job the has access to information which would require a clearance.     - I am loosing the will to cert. With people like this 'allitcertkiller.com' crap I am losing the will to do anymore certifications. For the honest person there is simply no hope. I feel like a lone individual taking on a Red Army of cheaters. I've heard all the arguments about people who cheat their certs can't cut it in a technical interview. This assumes that you will get a technical interview in the first place. I know of people who have got good technical IT jobs and have not been asked a single taxing technical question during interview. Some of the time the interviewers are not that technical themselves which makes it easy for your cheaters to blag their way to a job. I would say for every one person with a real cert there must be ten or twenty with a fraudulent one. People say a cert won't get you job, maybe so, but it will definitely help get you picked for an interview over someone who has less, or no certs. I finished my mcse and mcsa in 2000 about 14 months ago. It took me a year almost to the day to complete. I had to study my butt off to learn the material to pass the exams. Now however, I not sure if it is really worth all that work to upgrade my cert to 2003 when in a month or two from now loads of people will be just downloading or even buying the exam answers from websites like the above. This kind of practice has just got to stop if the MS certs aren't to go from joke status to totally meaningless. Everyone knows you can't stop these exam answers from being propagated via the Internet, so MS has to change the exam format simple as that and make all of the mcsx exams lab based, in part at least. Just think MS have the cash to setup testing labs. Although it may take a while they could have lab based exams in say two or three years, just in time for the win 2000 exams to expire. You cannot cheat a lab based exam simple as that. Better still you could have it so say if you fail the lab after three attempts you will not be able to take it again for six months or a year. That would stop people just bashing away at it until they got a pass. What ever happens they just have to do something and fast.     - 2003 Well I took my own advice and got back on the horse and passed 292 today. I knew I had to have been close yesterday. The exam today was much easier and stuck to the MS guidelines and to the MSPress book which reaffirmed my initial feelings for it as a study guide. I had a lot of SUS, TS, Remote Admin, DNS(all the new stuff was hit on), and auditing. All in all a very different pool of questions today. Not nearly as wordy and not nearly as many exhibits today.     - Mcse 2003 I had a piece of humble pie today. I failed 292. It really surprised me with some of the questions but others I felt good about. I ran out of time on the last 5 questions so I played guessaroo with them. I am using MSPress which is good. I think I would have passed had I noticed my time more closely. Oh well, either retaking tomorrow or Sat. The test had lots of real world type questions and I had about 40-50% of exhibits. They really wore on my nerves too.     - MCSE exams braindumps Well I took and passed 70-292 today at a Prometric center. I noticed that the testing program has been updated. On a number of the questions I could have done with a MUCH larger screen as I couldn't see half of the question in hand. Also one question that said see exhibit had no exhibit button - had to take a big guess. So I noted it as I was going to make a comment at the end. But strange things happened at the exam end. I was not given the chance to comment and also it didn't even tell me if I'd passed, only printed out the sheet.     - NT4/Exchange55 Mcse, Now what... I got myself certified at my own expense in 98/99. MCSE in NT 4 w/elective of TCP/IP and Exchange 5.5. My employer has provided no training since then, nor do they plan on doing any in the future. I have been working with Win2k and 2003 as well as Exchange 2000 but alas, my certs are fairly worthless to go get a job anywhere with my current MCSE. I am still working at the original job, but I would like to find a place to at least supplement my education and give me some advancement opps. I currently run the whole show for the company. I would like to know what is the best and most cost effective way to make myself valuable to another company. $13,000 is a bit steep to get to where I was (MCSE) for a $60K a year job. Has anyone heard whether the Cut-off has been met for the
03 Charter status?

For 2K it was the first 2000 people certified and I heard
that it was within a certain timeframe for NT4.

Has anyone heard anything about the criteria for 2003?
