    - Encarta 2004 Reference Library & Avantis CDserve I installed encarty on this xp box via cd serve and video seems to be working fine. the only thintg i cant get to work is the animations and interactive stuff. When i fire up any kind of animation, there is a short pause (the box where the animation should be is slightly greyed (loading etc) - then encarta crashes AppName - Encarta.exe ModName - sisgl.dll i get errors in the application log of event viewer with The description for Event ID ( 4 ) in Source ( OpenCD ) cannot be found. Got send to voice mail... got "Mailbox is full". Email came back up. Sent complaint to tech support. (correct settings) The funny part is (and I will explain it to those of you who do NOT see the obvious problem) that my settings were correct and I was NOT using the error message I receive in my mail client but the verbatim came from MS Web Site and this tech could not see this even though I stated that I had a problem "which is described as follows by Microsoft:..." I doubt I will be applying for a job with these guys anytime soon if this is the standard they live up to. ATTENTION TO DETAIL folks.     - 219 Failed :o( Failed this exam earlier after passing all 6 others previously! Absolutely gutted! My last exam 221... Designing Network Infrastructure gave me a pass mark and my score, this one didn't. Also this exam was structured differently. I didn't get the survey at the start but more importantly it completely threw me when after the first case study it looked like it was ending the whole exam! The last one just went onto the next case study and let me go back if I remembered something. I also heard that Balwin Museum is a killer if you get it, yep I got it for my fisrt case study and it completely buggered me up! It IS a killer! Probably what I failed on... apart from an obvious lack of knowledge!     - IPSec Question Hi all Currently studying for my 70-216 exam and I am getting stuck on IPSec. I have implemented the the secure server via group policy (using the default domain policy). I thought by implementing IPSec this way it would ensure IPSec communications amongst all my PC's on my test network. However, once implemented, no computers can communicate with each other? Furthermore, I don't understand why it only seems possible to have one IPSec policy via group policies. e.g. you can only assign one policy. How would you then, for example, require secure access to a file server, require unsecured access between some PC's and secure access between particular PC's in the domain (all PC's are using DHCP for IP address assignment) Any recommendations to resources for IPSec would also be appreciated. It includes 4 books, one for each core exam (70-290,70- 291,70-293,70-294) and 6 CDs. Bookpool is selling it for $92.75 plus free shipping and lists it only has 4 CDs, but I wonder if it's because Sybex lists the 2 CDs at its site as bonus CDs? I have the Sybex book for the 70-270 exam and I like the way it lists out the exam objectives and goes through them in each chapter. Do Sybex books go indepth enough for the exams? I'm taking a class at a technical college and we used MSPress' "Microsoft Windows XP Professional Academic Learning Series" book last semester for 70-270. As I started talking practice tests, I realized that this book did not go into things asked on the practice tests. Is there any book representative of what's on the exams out there?     - Any exchange server 2000 expert here? Hi, I have some issues with my exchange server 2000 1. Spam issue Whenever I checked the "Allow all computers which successfully authenicate to relay, regardless the list above", spammer would able to hack in the exchange server and send out ten thoursands of spam using my exchange server. I am not sure why that is happening because the options I checked require computers to be authenicated before the relay. The reason I check this box is because I have a few branch offices relay on my exchange server to send emails. And some locations won't have a static IP, so I can't really specify a certain range of IP addresses to relay. I finally bought a firewall and setup vpn connections from those remote offices and mobile laptops clients in order to relay the exchange server. Out of curiousity, how did the spammer authenicate to my exchange server in the first place? 2. Email issue. When a staff send email to the distribution list from the global address book. One of the individual is having problem getting the email. The error message is below and some of the information like name, IP and domain info are modified. When I tried to send email to this individual instead of using the distribution list and he has no problem getting my emails. I wonder why. I hope someone is able to help me.     - Little help with 70-226 study please The book I'm using does not seem to explain the relationship between NLBing and Clusters. I know I can have up to 4 nodes in a cluster and I know there can be up to 32 host on a NLB so it seems obvious to me that NLBing is not restricted to a cluster. So how would one NLB across mutable clusters? Also I was wondering if it would be possible in theory to NLB as individual groups by putting a proxy server in front of each cluster and just NLB across the proxies and have 128 host under the NLB?
