I am starting on my mcse hunt with 70-210

My question is: Why am I doing this to myself?

Here i see a lot of comments about IT not being what it used to be. I am
sure that is true. I am basically an optimist though. Computers and the
Internet and Microsoft are here to stay and they are not getting easier.
Users (and companies) will need help. I am mostly interested in starting my
own business to help small business. I think they need to see some sort of
certification. I may stop short of MCSE and just use MCP for that purpose.

Could it be that the old salts here are just a litte disillusioned?
