When I purchased my PC, I was not given the windows disk. My question is, how
do I or can I install the Internet Information Server windows component from
another source?

I am using Windows XP professional 2002, service pack 1.

Thanks in advance

does your PC have the install files right there? (usually in c:\i386 if the
install was done that way)

and you really should have a windows CD - go back to your vendor and ask
about it.

Hello,

You need the CD (or the installation files located elsewhere) to install
IIS. See if you have an i386 folder on the C:\ drive, and if you have, that
might be enough.

But i would recommend you to contact your vendor, because you might need to
one day re-install Windows, and to do that, you need the CD (and a license
key).
