i am just starting to learn visual basic .net and have a question about IIS.
i looked in the IIS folder and it says i have version 5.1. i am running
windows xp pro, and also microsoft visual basic .net 2005 express and was
wondering if i should or could upgrade to IIS V6.0.

You cannot upgrade to IIS 6.0. IIS is tied to the OS, and for Windows XP
there is only version 5.1 available (unless you have a 64-bit version of
Windows XP).

The rule is, you can only install the IIS version that came with the OS
(the CD/DVD).

IIS 6.0 is normally for Windows Server 2003.
