Hi,

I would like to enable IIS 6 on our Win 2003 server to develop ASP .NET
applications. Prior to this update, I would like to estimate the hardware
capacities used by ASP .NET and IIS 6.

So, I'd like to have figures on :
- How much memory and processor uses IIS 6 + ASP.NET without any active
connections
- What could be an order of (minimum/maximum) size for system usage (memory,
processor...) for around 30 users working with ASP .NET applications
(connection to SQL server 2000 databases).

Concerning licensing :
How works licensing for ASP .NET web applications? Is it the same as with
standard Windows applications?

Thanks a lot,

Eric.

Virtually none.

Is SQL on the box? What are the apps? Is there testing being done on
the same box? Way too many variables for an answer, but max the RAM
to at least tw GB, if you run SQL dual processors can help but the
licensing for SQL gets expensive.

The ability to run a web server, IIS and ASP.NET is included with your
Windows server and CAL licensing.
