IIS start Error:The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

Hi,All,
My IIS6 now failed to started.the following is the error msgs:

The IIS Admin Service service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely
fashion.


and my windows already installed BEA and TOMCAT. but i think it's not
conflict with these two. because serveral days ago. I have tried that's all
runs smoothly. But now i remembered one critical things. don't know whether
it would effected my IIS.

two days ago. i tried to install the ISA2004(internet security and
accelerator of MS's firewall). and runs it for a while.after a while, i had
uninstalled this. but after that. seems the IIS failed. can't started.

is anyone met this sympotn before? and should i reinstalled the IIS server?
or any setting i needs to reconfigure?

Try to remove IIS and put it back. Please be aware that ISA server lower
than 2004 might not support Win2003 server.

Yes.Thanks.I had tried the actions of your suggestion. but the sympton also
same.


i had already remove the ISA server. Before i found the IIS failed.

I have the same problem.
It was solved when I followed the steps to delete a registry key as
shown in http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;327649
