Hello everyone,

I am trying migrate an intranet from Windows 2000 Server to Windows
2003 Server. I have freshly installed Windows 2003, SP1, and IIS. I
have also (hopefully correctly, but probably not) configured PHP.

I have never done this before, so I am not sure what the best way to do
this is. First I moved all the files from the old server to the new
server. That didn't work (I didn't really expect it to). I know on the
old server, we used Frontpage extensions. I am not sure if this is
installed by default with IIS, or where I go to install it. I am sure
that is one piece to the puzzle.

I saw in another post someone mention something about a migration tool.
Is this helpful? If so, where can I get that? Does anybody know of a
website that a good step by step tuturiol or instructions on how to do
this?

Thanks

Dave

Hello,

The IIS Migration Tool may work, and it can be downloaded here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2aefc3e4-ce97-4f25-ace6-127f933a6cd2&displaylang=en

It is difficult to write a tutorial about this, because each situation is
unique(some use Frontpage, others not, some use URLScan, others not, some
use ASP.NET, some PHP some...you get the idea). You should use the
documentation you wrote when set up the original website and use that to
help you set the new website up.

So install FPSE. Add/Remove Programs, Windows Components.
