IIS 6.0, no SP - HELP PLEASE!

All websites are in stopped mode and "World Wide Web Service" is missing
from the Control Panel. This is the second time this has happened, after the
first (last week) we reinstalled IIS and App Center. Now it is broken again.
Does anyone have a clue what the root cause is?

Thank you for the help and/or workaround.

Whatever changed between when it was working and when it stopped, I
guess. Did you look at the event logs and try to pin it down?

Since IIS has no code which will remove "World Wib Web Service" like that
(without uninstalling), I can only assume that you are running some process
(unknown to you) that is making these changes. The root cause is therefore
arbitrary.

Look for personal security products, Trojans, etc on your machine that could
be doing this.
