I am a fairly experienced Windows user, but not an
experienced windows admin. I have WinXP PRO installed on a
home PC. I have a router connected to Verizon DSL modem. I
would like to setup a Web server for the sole purpose of
running "socks via http" server process.

Am I in the right newsgroup?
Will verizon.net allow me to run a web server?
Is web server what I need to do this?

I appreciate any and all help from knowledgable folk.

TIA,
Michael
