ASP script runs OK first time it is run, but then fails
(500 Internal Server Error) on all subsequent attempts
until IIS is restarted.

Script is very simple and I can see no faults with it.
Developer says it works fine on his Personal IIS on laptop.

Andy,

If your server is crashing or hanging you might want to
download our ReJuvin8 tool. It's free for the first
15-days. It can keep your site running despite problems.

It's designed to detect problems then restart or reboot.
It can restart ANY programs, services, or processes in
precise order. It doesn't fix bugs but it does give you some
breathing room while you are finding them. ReJuvin8 also
gives you email and telephone alert messages and graphic
status reports.

It can also test, alert, and report on URLs running anywhere
on any server on your net connection. So if you use multiple
servers you can use them to watch each other, too.

ReJuvin8 has both an automatic and a custom mode. In the
auto mode you make all the settings by pointing and
clicking. This will handle most applications.

The custom mode uses heartbeat synch files to get absolute
detection that key processes are working. Tools and
instructions are provided to help you do this. We also offer
customization as a contract service.

Charles

Dev, do you think that will solve his problem? ASP runs one time and fails
after that, so your answer is your ReJuvin8 tool??? I think the man should
dig a little father than a program that is going to reboot his server or
services each time it fails...

Andy,

so basically u mean a simple ASP script can run on the first time, and then
u need to restart IIS, and it will run once, it failed again, and after
restart, then it work again? just like a loop?

I have had similar problems with some servers. The fix was to un-install
IIS, and then re-install it. I dont know why it fixed it but it did. The
behavior that I recall was that the asp "service" would stop and start with
every other hit to the site. I couldnt find anything on Usenet, google, or
the MS site...

Just to be safe, create a simple "hello, world!" page and see if the same
problems occur.

Why do I get a 500 Internal Server error for all ASP errors?
