This actually sounds like metabase corruption.

I hope you have a recent backup of metabase.bin that you can roll back to...

Hi,

I have one named "iischema-update" from middle october, wasnt made by me,
probably on an update.

Is there any problem restoring this one? and update after the new sites i
have added since then, i have a full list of all sites order by date in excel.

I've also made an backup few moments ago to "rollback" if necessary, one
with the error.

Tkx in advance for resolving this issue,
Paulo Viana

Hi again,

and Tkx, it worked.

I had to wait until weekend to try it due amount of sites on server.

It take about 30-45 minutes to roll back to previous backup, i was thinking
that wasnt working due no msg and iis seemed the process was stopped... but
finally a msg sucessfully restored to xxxx.

tkx again.

Paulo Viana

Yeah, IIS5 takes a *lot* time to start up when there are "lots" of sites.
This was one of the things fixed in IIS6 - 10K sites start up in <2 minutes
now.
