Hi ,
My name is Michael Noto. Thank you for using the Microsoft IIS Newsgroups.
You should be OK since the newer files should not be replaced by the older
files versions during the installation.
However the SP does change the metabase and since IIS was not installed,
the change would not have been made. The article below is for when an error
occurs and the SP4IIS.exe can be run to make the change to the metabase.
You could reinstall SP4 or run the SP4IIS.exe to make the change.

I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please

Hello, I wonder if I initially configure a win2k member server for a file
server, I just apply service pack 4, then when I promote this server to a
web server using IIS 5.0 it is necesary to reinstall the service pack to
correct the initial prolems of IIS that come with the original cd?
