I booted up my computer today and the WWW publishing, FTP
and SMTP services will not start. I am getting the
following error when I try to start them:

Error 0003: The system cannot find the path specified.

When I open IIS explorer all of my websites and virtual
directories are gone. I don't even have my computer
listed.

I am on NT 4 Workstation (SP 6a) running IIS 4.0 and
Personal Web Server (installed from NT 4.0 Option pack)

This has happened to me before. Does anyone know a fix
other then reinstalling the option pack? Please help !

Next time, create a daily backup of your metabase. If IIS 4 corrupts again
(or is attacked if you're open to the internet) you can restore your
metabase and loose nothing.

I can't even get to the point to restore a backup (my
computer doesn't show up in the explorer, and I can't
connect to it).

Is there a metabase in 5.1 I'm supposed to be backing up?

All the directories and stuff are backed up daily anyways. Is this metabase
just for settings?
