Hi all:

I am running windows 2000 Prof.. fully updated and protected.

After removing IIS server, Internet Explorer is no longer showing up in
control panel add-remove window.
I noticed it missing when the browser err and tried fixing it

It was hard removing IIS. At first it would not uninstall and stayed a whole
day looking as it had hanged the pc but when I treed to cancel it would say
it was not finished yet. After two days I had to disable the service before
the uninstaller would work (after a loooong while)

I could reinstall Explorer 6 because I had not erased the working folder it
leaves after installation, but that did not fix the problem The browser
works sluggish

please help me out. do you have any clues as to what the uninstall of IIS
left that has broken down my system?

thank you.

Never saw this happens, but it looks like you screwed your system a
little bit ;o). Anyway - I would always suggest in such a situation to
backup all your data, wipe out the system and then reinstall it. It
would be much easier then trying to figure it out, what went wrong.

If you need more help - please look at microsoft..*.setup newsgroup.
