IIS admin console not working

Hi, I have a problem viewing my IIS admin console on my server, the shortcut
from the administrative tools is missing, and I cannot se it either on the
manage my computer snap-in. The IIS is installed on the server, I can see it
on the add/remove windows components, but I cannot open the IIS
administration console. Even the services are running!
I have installed OCS 2007 on this server, so I cannot just remove and
reinstall the IIS.
I even got to the iis.msc file on system32/inetsrv/ and tried to open it
from there but I only get and error that say MMC could not create the snap-in.
I can connect to the IIS through another server, but cannot assign or edit
certificates remotely, I need to do this on the server.
Please help, any advice is very much welcome.
I tried already copying the dll files from another server, but is the same
result.

I recall having that issue some time ago but I can't recall how I
overcame it - it was a google moment.

Does start > run > inetmgr [enter] also give you the same MMC error?

when I do that it says that windows didn´t find the inetmgr, make sure you
type the name correctly bla bla bla
even though the inetmgr.exe is on the inetsrv folder on system32
I don´t know what is going on with this IIS...
any other ideas?
