Hey Guys,
How are ya'll today? I have some problems getting Virtual Domains to
work I have created a DNS entry for 2 domains, The 2 Domains in Question
they are not working I am sure it's my error and not the dns server not
working. My Domain works fine and almost all the addresses resolve. I have
my mail exchanger there are 2 that won't resolve and that's another problem
for later.
(and by the way these servers are 3U rack mounts [with dual p4 3.0 ghz 1 gig
ram and 120 mb hd in each])
My Question is this on my Primary server I have DNS, DHCP (With a 48 address
IP pool for Dialup), IIS6, Active Directory (necessity for IAS) and IAS for
authentication of Dialup and Wireless users, in IIS I have the 3 Domains (As
I stated main domain works fine) in the forward zones with all A records to
IP addy's
server1.bccisp.net .12 <---- This one works with a cname of www.bccisp.net
server2.bccisp.net .13 <--- This is just a backup DNS, Email, Backup DHCP (a
2nd 48 Address IP Pool for Dialup), Active directory and backup IAS
mlmobilenotary.com .33 <--- This one doesn't work,
globaldyne.com .39 <---- this one doesn't work
I am the authoritative over these according to my provider.
a - Now the .39 has to be to that ip address as he is colocating a server
with me.
b - The .33 can be a Virtual Domain/Name Based <- I have this set up, but my
DNS entry I am sure is wrong on both this one and the one above.
I can provide screen shots if need be .... of configuration settings.
Just not sure where to go from here?
