Where can I get IIS installation?

TheMSsForum.com: The Microsoft Software Forum

If I have Windows XP, should IIS be installed automatically (I remember in
the previous Windows version, I needed to select to install IIS) ?
1 of my XP machine has IIS installed in it (I don't remember ever selecting
it in the installation), but another XP machine does not have IIS installed
in it.
Where can I find IIS installation for this XP machine? Thank you.

Most likely, often the XP CD and any service pack CD's. Unless you
have XP Home, in which case you won't find IIS since it isn't
available on XP Home.

Hello,

You will find it in Add Remove Windows Components, if you have Windows XP
Pro. IIS is not available for the Home Edition.

During the installation it will ask you for the Windows XP CD.

On 1 of our machine where we have installed IIS already, and when I go to
Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs | Add / Remove Windows Components, I
saw IIS as one of the component, and it is checked.

On 1 of our machine where we have installed IIS already, and when I go to
Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs | Add / Remove Windows Components, I
saw IIS as one of the component, and it is checked.
On the machine that does NOT have IIS installed yet, when I go to Control
Panel | Add or Remove Programs | Add / Remove Windows Components, I do not
see IIS as one of the item, so how can I install IIS if it is NOT listed as
one of the component to be added ?
You mentioned that IIS is not available for Home Edition, does it mean that
I will NOT be able to install IIS at all on the Home Edition?

pages, what can I use besides IIS ?

ASP.NET has WebMatrix:

Otherwise, Apache will run fine, though you'll have to find an ASP mod
and be limited in usability.

Of course, you can develop code and upload it to a server to test.
