Hi....

Can anyone help with this problem? When I open the IIS the "Default Web
Site" appears as Stopped, and when I try to start it, I get this error

"Unexpected Error 0X8007C801 ocurred"

I don't get the solution and I have a lot of virtual directories over there.

I looked for it in forums but all the answers (just a few) say the same and
refers to the FTP service (which I don't use) and to the anonymous user in
the properties of the FTP. I tried that in the Web service, but I keep
getting the same error message.

Any ideas?

Please look in the EventLog and see if you have any more information.

The eventlog can be found here:

Start->Run, type eventvwr.msc and press ENTER.

I've just done it and I've seen 2 virtual directories that doesn't work. I
erased their real directories last week, but not the virtual directories in
the iis.

I've just done it now, but it keep showing me the same error message when I
try to start the IIS:

"Unexpected Error 0x8007c801 ocurred"

Here's a related FTP-site starting error KB article:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q273565

but it gives a general idea - please check all the fields/properties of
your virtual web server and Security tab in particular.
