Every so often, I find that I am unable to access pages from my own local
IIS which is running on my own PC. I find these events in the eventlog:
----------------
The server was unable to logon the Windows NT account 'IUSR_YOSSI' due to
the following error: Logon failure: the user has not been granted the
requested logon type at this computer. The data is the error code.

----------------

I'm running Windows XP SP2, IIS 5.1. Other than the recent application of
SP2, I haven't changed anything that I can think of which would be related.
What exact permission is IUSR_YOSSI missing?

Thanks for your help,

Joe Geretz

It sounds like it may be missing the Logon Locally user right. You should
make sure the IUSR account also has Access this computer from the network,
Log on as a Batch Job and Bypass Transverse Checking. The following
article list the minimum permission and user rights for IIS:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;271071

Hope this helps!
