IIS Snapin Problems

If I am in the IIS Snap on the Host computer

what would cause me not to see the default website
in the list of sites.

all I see under the tree is:

[servername]
-- Administration web site
-- Default SMTP Virtual Server

But if I go to another computer on the network
and connect to the webserver in that computers
IIS snap in I See

[servername]
-- Default Web Site
-- Administration Web Site
-- Default SMTP Virtual Server

Any help would be Appreciated

if you create a new snap in same ?
The Internet Services Manager MMC Is Not Added to the Windows Start Menu
