Hi folks,

I am preparing for a interview in a company. The job is
purely on IIS servers. I have 4 yrs of experience dealing
with web servers but when it comes to facing a interview I
am not sure in which areas I need to focus about IIS. Any
inputs or pointers are highly appreciated.

Thanks

Alok

I would make sure that I can discuss IIS in these areas of interest:
architecture, installation, operations, support, and security
Browse http://technet.microsoft.com and look for articles on these areas.

And as an added tip, find out what you can about their setup. For
example, maybe they're running .NET apps, SSL, various authentication
schemes, front end web servers to back end SQL clients,
POP/SMTP/FTP/etc. Plan to be interviewed on the technologies they're
using, plus the ones they'd like to use.

Also, I have yet to see an IIS admin job that didn't involve at least
a knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, DNS, firewalls, basic
Windows admin functions and so on, so you may want to bone up on those
areas as well.
