SMTP is not working to one domain

hi...

my iis 5.0 smpt service is fully working
just when my server wants to send an email to an "web.de" adress, i got this error in the eventlog (id4000
"Fehler bei der Nachrichtenübermittlung an Remotedomäne 'web.de'; Ursache: Die Verbindung wurde vom Remotehost getrennt.

in english this means "error during message delivering....the connection was dropped my the remotehost

what can i do
every other domain works probably..

just the web.de email adresses dont work..

If all other domains work, it is a problem on their end (web.de).

i dont think so..
from an other mail account....(freemail account) i can send mails to the web.de adress...

Okay, so then you maybe have problems with your DNS server. Have you added
this domain to your internal DNS server? Can you please do this in a cmd
prompt:

nslookup ENTER
set type=mx ENTER
web.de ENTER

You should get these as mail exchangers:

mx-ha01.web.de
mx-ha02.web.de

Now type this in a cmd prompt:

telnet mx-ha01.web.de 25 ENTER

works?

telnet mx-ha02-web.de 25 ENTER

works?

If all this works, then there is no problems. Your server can find the
correct server to send to, and it can contact that domain.

yeah...all this works fine
i can connect to the mail servers via telnet
i just can´t type then anything...because then he closes the connection - but i think that´s norma

i noticed, that after 5-10 retries he can send the email (becaus i created an web.de account to test it ;)
but that is not normal....he needs up to 20 minutes to deliver the email..

i have the problems on both email servers - the iis smtp service running on port 26 and my main email server...running on port 2

any other things i can try?

I still think that it is on their end. Look at the logfile you posted. It
has this information:

Transaction+failed.+Visit+http://freemail.web.de/reject/+for+explanation

So obviously, you got a connection, and everything was working fine. But
web.de's SMTP server rejected you. Visit:

http://freemail.web.de/reject/

And they tell you should get an explanation.

I would contact them, as everything is working fine, but the remote server
rejects your connection.
