This is a repost. I originally posted in inetserver.iis and
win2000.general, but the folks in inetserver.iis informed me of the
inetserver.iis.smtp_nntp group, so I decided to try again:

IIS 5.0 on W2KS, SP2
Folks, I am brand new to the SMTP service in IIS, so I have no clue what
I'm doing. I was able to successfully send a test message from my OE
client to our enterprise Lotus Notes system, but then I mucked w/ some
settings and tried moving the Mailroot folder to the E: drive on the
server from the D: drive and now nothing is being sent anymore. I tried
as best as I could to revert all the settings back and I can swear I've
done it, but I must be missing something and I have no idea where to
look.
When I turned on the logging, there was nothing useful in there, but I
figured the contents of my badmail folder would be helpful to the
group. For each message I try to send, I have one file w/ a .bad
extentsion:
