IIS Problem

I elevated a server to be another domain server and caused another instance
of Share Point Portal Server. As a result the web site will not run because
it is trying to run 2 copies although it is only possible to se one. It
won't even uninstall. Any ideas?

The error message states: "The process can not access the file because it is
being used by another process."

you will have to delete the other server ot use virtual hosting with 2
different URL for it to work.
