Somehow, someway, I've inadvertantly modified a setting in IIs and now
when users attempt to reach the external web site, they get a "you are
not authorized to view this page message". I've looked on the
permissions tab and things seem to be set the the way they should be,
but they're are still getting this error. Suggestions on how to fix?

Thanks!

Well, I suppose permissions are one thing. You will also usually get this
message if the default page type is not available (i.e. index.htm,
default.htm, default.asp, etc.). So, make sure you didn't delete the page
itself or change the default it is looking for. One way to check this is to
type the complete path to a page, including the page filename and extension,
and see if it works that way (without relying on IIS to figure out the
default page type).

Is it possible that the IUSR password is out of sync?

password out of sync? The site never required a password before.

Right. IUSR_servername is the anonymous user account. You must manually
specify the password for it in the IIS MMC and it may not match the actual
password for the account.

Since I've never changed this password, I assume it's set to something
unknown during install?
