Hi everyone,

I'm having problems setting permissions to do what I want
in both the file system and FTP.

The network's domain controllers are now on 2003 and we're
using IIS6 for FTP.

I'm trying to create a drop box... that is, people can put
a file in folder but can't change it afterwards. Also,
nobody should be able to read anybody else's file. If they
see the file in the directory listing, that's OK, but they
shouldn't be able to open it.

This is easily done within our network. The users have
Traverse Folder, List Folder / Read Data, Create Files /
Write Data, and Read Permissions. They can drag files into
the folder but can't open it.

Yet, it doesn't work so well on FTP. They can't open the
folder and therefore they can't put things in it. Messing
with permissions I've gotten it to a point where they can
open the folder, put their file there, and not read other
people's files... BUT they still have the ability to
overwrite (append) the file at a later time -- not what we
want.

Help! Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Scott
