Hi

Is it possible to connect to a IIS server with the IIS
manager if the server is behind a firewall and on a other
net?

Example:
I'm sitting with my computer at work and would like to
connect to my IIS server at home direct for the IIS
manager on my computer at work.

Which ports on the firewall needs to be open?

Best regards

Hi Thommy,

Yes it's possible but for the sake of the integrity of your website/server I
won't give you the easiest way.
The bit more annoying but much more secure way:
Setup a VPN server where your web server is and then connect to the VPN from
your house.

The problem with not doing that is you would be opening the ports to your
server that were used during Blaster, and unless you were patched when
Blaster started, if those ports were open and your computer was on, it was
inevitable

The same ones that allow hackers access, worms and so on. :)

Use a VPN to do this.
