Hello,

I am having a little trouble in the web department and was
wondering if the internet data connector needed to be
enabled for my problem to go away?

w2k3 enterprise edition. I am using the indexing service
and inserting a search funtion/form in my web with FP 2003
and I don't seem to be able to get it to show up in the
browser. Would the internet data conector be needed here
for FPSE to communicate with FPSE? I presently have it
turned off. This would be an INTERET web.

Thank you
Joe

No, I don't think IDC needs to be enabled.

Are FPSE installed on the server, and set to "allowed" in the Web Service
Extensions section of the IIS Manager?

Cheers
Ken

Yes, they are but is very strange all other FPSE functions
work e.g. mail forms, upload subweb, which you helped me
with.I can see the search form in the design view and
preview in FP 2003 but not the browser.

I can use the index query form and get results on the
server. I do have a strange problem there also.
If i set it to track one web it will pull results from
that web and another and the syntax query language button
does not return any results.
I am new to this I am getting there.
Thanks very much Ken
