Indexing Service / Search script stopped working

Good afternoon,

I've been using IIS 5 for sometime on an Intranet site, mainly to make use
of the Indexing Service to perform searchs within documents via an ASP
script.

This has suddenly stopped working today - the search page still displays and
the ASP page runs after the search criteria has been entered but will not
return any results.

Has anyone any idea why this has happened? I've tried stopping / starting
IIS and then removed and reinstalled it.

Any help gratefully received!!

Is the indexing service running or not?

Not certain why you would uninstall/reinstall software as a part of
troubleshooting steps. That is one of the most destructive things you can do
with no clear benefit.
