I have multiple websites on a 2000 server (IIS5), a website that was set up
this weeked is NOT asking for log in when opened by frontpage. All other
sites ask for user/pass. The properties are the same throughout all sites.
Operater, Server extensions, (authering enabled, manage permissions
manually), integrated windows security...

The file/folder permissions are also set the same. Yesterday I purchased a
couple of IIS5 and frontpage 2003 books and found no clues to why this is
happening. The properties to this site are the exact match to other sites
that all require logging in to access via Frontpage. As such I have to shut
the site down until this is resolved which is a real pain. Any clues would
be a great help. Thanks

Is IUSR_machinename or Everyone a member of FrontPage Authors or
Administrators?

Just IUSER_machine name. As for the Groups, no one is set to be author on
any site. Typically I just log in as admin.

So then the anonymous user has Author privileges, which is why there's no
prompt ...
