I cannot start the IIS in WindowsXP Pro. when i typed "localhost", there =
was a HTTP 500 error. When I viewd the event log (use event viewer) in =
application setion, there were event id 4689 and 4822 incidents logged =
down, there may be some kinds of COM+ error. Does anyone kindly provide =
suggestion for me on this issue. I had reinstalled the IIS and WinXP SP1 =

I have the same issue, but I also do not have the IIS plug0in in the control panel. My problems started after I installed the .Net Framework. I have since removed that but alas I still can not see the pages. I get the 500 erro and I also get page not found errors. I have gotten both, after installing and reinstalling, so I have been able to experience bot. Any Help is appreciated.
