Don't think that is the problem here. I would venture to guess that his
Information Store is not started, which in turn means that the M drive isn't
there, and the Virtual folders can't be started as they point to the M
drive.

MrChris, what errors do you have in your event logs? Which Exchange
services are/are not started? The more information you give us here, the
better.

Hi,
My exchange 2000 server works properly, all the services are started.
I can see the M: drive, but i can't access the security tab on the property
page of this drive,
even on subfolder.
It told me : Unable to show security informations...
I think because someone has change the right manually, and i read somewhere
that
it's very dangerous to change right manually on this drive, it could crash
the system.

So i search for something wich could help me restoring default right on this
folder.

Thanks
MrChris

Thank you...
I've already seen this article, but the problem i have, is that someone made
change
from IIS to this folder (i think the webmaster doesn't understand what this
folder are so he delete them...)
So i search a way to restore them
I try to reinstall by inserting the exchange server media, but the media
wants to reinstall all...

Thanks
MrChris

The security settings you are seeing on the M: drive are what they should
be.

I'm not sure what the best way of recreating the IIS virtual directories is.
If you're really stuck, I can copy the settings we have on our Exchange
server (but I'm not really an Exchange guru, so it's probably best if
someone with more Exchange experience answers this).

Cheers

Thank you very much, but i'm not stuck...
It's just that OWA don't work...
But we have no use of it (yet)...

So don't waste time with that, i'm going to
search a bit.
Normally in few month, we have to change
our exchange server, i will make a clean install !

Thanks !
