    - WebDav Hi I am trying to set up webdav on a win2000 Server/iis5 server. I have followed the instructions on the ms website, and set up a webdav virtual directory. However I cannot get WebDav working from either a XP-Pro machine or a Win2000Pro. (open ie explorer "Open as a web folder") There doesn't seem documentation.     - IIS 6.0 stops displaying ASP pages I am running IIS 6.0 with several websites containing different .asp pages. Everything works fine. All .asp pages work, shopping carts work, contact forms work. After about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks or so, my server stops displaying the .asp pages. All other pages (htm, html) work fine. No error messages are shown in Event viewer. Re-starting the server fixes the "problem" until the next 2 weeks or so.     - has anyone else needed to restart IIS after adding extension? After adding an extension to IIS5.1, I needed to restart IIS to get it to recognize my new extension and hand it off to asp.net. Has anyone else needed to do this? And why wouldn't this work with a reboot? This same problem does not exist on IIS6 as I just copied over the web project, added the new extension with the aspnet filter dll and I was good to go. Why is IIS5.x different than IIS6 like that?     - problem with IIS on XP, I think I need to reinstall IIS, any links on how to do this? I am having problems with my IIS on my development box and would like to pitch IIS and redo it from scratch. However I do not want to redo my entire box.     - windows 2003, web service, 404.2 Hi, I deployed my ATL Server web service to a Windows 2003 Enterprise Server box (created a virtual dir, copied MyWebSvc.dll, MyWebSvcIsapi.dll, MyWebSvc.disco, MyWebSvc.htm into it, configured the execute permissions and the mappings). I then tried to tickle it via a web browser using http://<myserver>/<myvirtualdir>MyWebSvc.dll?Handler=GenMyWebSvcWSDL. Each time I try, an error page is displayed (the page cannot be found...). I checked the W3SVC1 logs they show "404 2 1260" at the end of each line. After researching this, I installed ASP.NET support, and I added a Web Service Extension for my web service (MyWebSvc.dll and MyWebSvcIsapi.dll are required files, and they are both allowed). Even after that, the log still shows "404 2 1260" at the end of each line. Any help solving this problem would be greatly appreciated.     - Export IIS & Import to DR System OK I have recently been asked to create a system that will export the IIS metabase from my production server, modify the IP's it listens to and import the new setup to a DR ssystem in case something happens to our center.     - File Upload Issue with Asp.Net For some reason, when I try to upload a file to my web server using the HtmlFile Control, the Request.Files is empty/null. The same code has worked for at least a year and now it has stopped. I am getting an error "Index was out of range" on the Request.Files[0] . Can someone please help?     - *.asp extension pages cannot be found when on SSL I am running windows 2000 server and IIS5. Recently I installed a verisign temporary SSL cert and applied it to the necessary virtual directories/folders. Now that I have done this I am not able to access the ASP pages. I get a "The Page Cannot Be Found" error page. I even made a blank default.asp page and this still could not be found, but .html and .htm pages work just fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.     - Defaulting domain w/integrated auth Can someone please tell me if there is a way to configure an IIS server so that a users domain is defaulted. Within the intranet zone things are handled just fine with the use of a group policy, but from the outside user must use domain\username, password in order to login. This is just too much for some lower level users. I would love for them to be able to login with username, password only. I investigated turning off integrated auth and letting basic auth pass the information but my ssl encrypted sharepoint server would then not crawl correctly.     - Error 1002 - IIS 6 being automatically disabled... Hey all, Not the brightest on IIS 6. One of my webservers is getting this error in the event logs. The developers have been playing around and would like to get some input on how to troubleshoot this issue. I have the concerning error just below and then the series of errors before this one.     - Redirect Error With IIS 6 I have a perl script that tries to do a redirect. It works fine with IIS 5 and 5.1, but dies with 6, which complains "The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers." The script returned Status: 302 Moved location: logon.pl?Retry=true What else does it need to return?     - CGI Script timeout on IIS 6 Howdy, I used to change the CGI script timeout property in IIS 4 & 5 by right clicking on the computer name and changing the master properties. Since installing Server 2003 I've been unable to find any CGI script settings (with the exception of ASP timeouts). Does anyone know where these features have moved to?     - Application Pools tree missing after 2003 upgrade Hi, We just upgraded to 2003 server from 2000, and for some reason IIS isn't showing us the "Application Pools" tree. Likewise, "Application Pool" is not an option on the Web site / Home Directory tab. Did IIS or Inetmgr somehow not get upgraded?     - I am having a problem in my asp in the recorsets running at iis 6.0 and sql2000. eof bof Services or applications using ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) 2.0 or greater may intermittently return empty recordsets on queries that should be returning valid results. At the time the problem occurs, the same queries successfully return the expected data when run from non-ADO sources, such as from ISQL in Microsoft SQL Server. This problem predominantly occurs on multi-processor computers but has also been known to occur on single-processor computers. As a side effect, the following error may also occur if the application tries to use the empty recordset: ADODB.Field error '800a0bcd' Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted; the operation requested by the application requires a current record. Microsoft give a solution at the article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/230101/EN-US/ but I did it all (I have mdac 2.8 installed and the problem still ocurrs). I have to tell you that this problem doesnt occurs all the time. When my asp aplication crashes all the recordsets return the messages : ADODB.Field error '800a0bcd' Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted; the operation requested by the application requires a current record. and Description : [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The cursor was not declared. and Description : ODBC driver does not support the requested properties this occurs for some minutes and then start woking again. I have to tell you that the database is complitly functional when this occurs, and if I do the same sql querys using query analizer, the sql server return valid results. The way I can get it work again manualy is by pressing the button "unload" at the IIS in the "home directory" tab. this makes the asp work again. Static compression is being disabled. I've checked permissions on the folder, and all seems correct. Could the folder itself be corrupt? Can't find any reference to help for this Warning anywhere. Does anyone have any info for me? I get this Warning about every 20 to 40 minutes, doesn't seem to be causing a negative affect, but if static compression is desirable and I'm not getting it, then I'm concerned about the long-term affects of this "condition".     - ASP pages hang. IISstate log attached. Hello, Running a Win2k box. Every few hours, IIS decides to stop serving asp pages. The machine has multiple hosts on it and this occurs with ALL asp pages. Running IISrecycle resolves the issue. Any ideas?     - Cannot run FrontPage 2003 web on IIS6/Windows 2003 Server Hello - I have a web page designed in FP2k3 with a forum and some forms, running on an IIS6/Windows 2003 Server with SharePoint Services SP1. Those forms want a page with FrontPage 2002 Extensions - I tried up and down to setup a page but no soap. I applied the FrontPage 2002 updates and security fixes. I only get SharePoint Central Administration where Add Frontpage 2002 Extensions would be. Going into SharePoint Central Adminstration, and selecting Extend or Update Virtual Server, the default and the FP2003 web site are 5.0.2.5012. Trying to run STSADM on the site bombs with "You must migrate the content from this virtual server to a new virtual server extended with Windows SharePoint Services." Any light?     - Network share using wrong network In IIS I created a virtual directory "folder" using an UNC path: \\10.0.0.5\folder The server has two network cards, one with address 192.168.0.5, and the other is 10.0.0.5.
