Hi Michelle,
Thank you for posting in MSDN managed newsgroup!
The suggestion from doug will help you to directly modify the metabase with the help of ADSUTIL.VBS script.
In another way, you can also use Metabase tools to modify the Realm metabase property. For IIS5.0/5.1, you can use MetaEdit; for IIS 6.0, you can
use Metabase Explorer to perform the modification. You can find the property under the site path and then modify it. The two tools are provided by
Microsoft which is available from Microsoft.com. Please go to:
Metabase editor
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=232068
IIS6 resource kit (Metabase explorer is included in this resource kit)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&familyid=56fc92ee-a71a-4c73-b628-ade629c89499
Furthermore, if you want to keep the original value of Realm before the modification, so far as I know, you should backup the value in one text file
manualy or backup the whole metabase.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any further questions.
Does this answer your question? Thank you for using Microsoft NewsGroup!
