I have a linksys wrv54g running my network and I have IIS on a computer on
my network. I have the router forwarding incoming traffic to port 80 of the
computer with IIs and that computer has a static IP address set. I can view
the web pages by typing in the IP address of the router in a web browser
from any computer on my network, but I am not able to access the web pages
from outside my network. What am I missing?

Hello,

some routers can be configured for fowarding ports from local access and
forwading for external access.
Without knowing if this is the solution of your problem, my first guess
would be, that local forwading is setup right but forwarding from external
access ist still left out in the configuration.
Check if your router offers both setup features and configure external
access like local access.

Greetings
Thomas

Also considered, that local IP of the router is different to WAN IP of the
router?

Noting. IIS is working fine. In a routing group you might find other
possibilities, or it may be as simple as your ISP blocking port 80.
